The Salvation Chronicles-#1 The Holy Spirit. He Won’t Let Me Fail.

Hey Guys! I know it’s been awhile but I’m back and starting a new series called The Salvation Chronicles. Don’t worry, I’ll still be on here to talk about hair and what-not.  However, I also want to give you a glimpse into my life as a Christian.  Hope you enjoy it!

It’s amazing how the Holy Spirit works.  Because of our human nature, we Christians have times when we stray away from God’s will and end up sinning.  There are also times when we enjoy that particular sin and continue doing it.  However, a TRUE Christian will not CONTINUE in sin.

Such is the case with me. I began to commit a particular sin which I very well knew was wrong.  But God, being loving and merciful, did not allow me to feel at peace in that sin.  I could not eat, carry out normal activities, or even sleep in peace.  Why? Because of the Holy Spirit.  When we receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit lives inside of us.  He convicts us of sin and reminds us of the right path to walk on.  Some might say, “I wish I could just live in sin without ever feeling any conviction.”  I disagree.  Being convicted over sin is one of the marks of a believer.  When I gave my life to Christ, I said that I would follow God at all times, not so I could feel good inside, but because I truly love Him.

So next time, you feel badly over a sin that you’re committing, STOP IT. The Holy Spirit, who wants you to do right, is trying to get your attention.  LISTEN. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKE.  And remember that the Christian life is a constant battle.

God Loves You,

Raven S.

Ephesians 4:30-“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
